Gps Based VR Map

The audio-visual map is a digital composition that interprets the spaces of the city as a musical score. The Open Street Map Software transforms the structure and the units of the city into digital images and sounds. This expands the original function of the spaces of the city, transforming them into an audio-visual experience. Walking in the streets generates a musical composition in a very responsive and interactive way. The routes walked are saved by the software and music can be listened to accompanied by a 3D animation. The video shows a demo version of this audio-visual experiment, currently under development.

The piece was exhibited within the National Salon of Pictures and Pixels, Photographic Art – and Beyond, in the Kunsthalle Budapest.
